Updated: Police cancel appeal as Ribbleton teenager Jessica Jacques is found

Updated 8.15pm. Lancashire Police have found Jessica safe and well in Avenham Park

Police in Preston are appealing for information about a teenage girl who hasn’t been seen by her parents since Wednesday evening.

Jessica Jacques, 15, left Ribbleton to visit a friend in Penwortham and travelled by bus.

She was seen by friends in Preston city centre this afternoon but Lancashire Police say they are concerned for her welfare.

Inspector Mulla from Lancashire Police said: “Jessica is vulnerable to to her age and her family is understandably worried about her. I’d urge anybody with any information about her whereabouts to contact police on 101.”

Jessica is known to regularly frequent the Peace Gardens and Winckley Square.

Jessica is described as being around 5ft4, slim build with shpulder-length blonde hair and a pale complexion. She was last seen wearing a blue top with black leggings and has a stud on her eyebrow.
