The Art Gallery has taken delivery of works by Lowry amongst others from the York Art Gallery while it is refurbished.

As well as taking in art from the last 600 years you can attempt to create your own at a series of kids and grown-ups events.

The exhibition will opened on Saturday 7 September and will run until Saturday 30 November.

See some of Bernie Blackburn’s photos from the preview.

Have you been to see the exhibition? What did you think?
