Looking back: Preston Guild Community Procession 2012

It may be hard to believe but the hugely successful Preston Guild was taking place at this time just last year.

On 7 September 2012 the Community Procession made its way through the city streets, building on the success of the inaugural procession in 1992 where around 2,000 people representing schools, voluntary sector, charities, communities, sports clubs and youth groups took part celebrating the diversity in the city.

In 2012 an estimated 8,500 people took part in the procession with around 120 decorated floats and tens of thousands of spectators lining the route creating a wonderful atmosphere which will never be forgotten by those that took part.
