A little-used play area in Tulketh could be turned into new homes.
AdvertisementDocuments submitted to the city council by Mellor Architects show the current space on Heatherfield Place would be developed.
The playground was created during the development of the area by Rowland Homes but is now rarely used.
Developers wish to turn the site into two semi-detacthed houses both with three bedrooms.
Mellor Architects state in 2005 a payment was made to Preston City Council by Rowland Homes for the provision of public open space elsewhere in the city.
The playground backs onto a factory wall as the area around Shelley Road is primarily used for industry.
