Time for our weekly look at some top things to do in and around Preston for the week ahead.
We’re publishing this on a Wednesday lunchtime so it previews the weekend coming up and also gets any cool events happening in the early part of the following week.
We pick out a selection of events we know are coming up and feature four or five of the best, and we’re always on the hunt for interesting things to do in and around the city so feel free to email us on firstname.lastname@example.org with details of your event and we might feature it.
One small step for the arts…
Take in the Harris Flights and whatever is going on there over the next four weeks.
The temporary steps will be there for four weeks linking the Flag Market to the Harris Museum.
There will be a host of different events on the steps themselves and in the Museum over the coming weeks.
Black box readings come to Korova
A night of story-telling is coming to a Preston arts venue.
Korova cafe will be home to Theatre By Numbers for the Black Box Tales.
A number of authors will perform their works for the audience on Friday 23 August.
Doors are at 7.30pm and tickets are £5 or £4 for concessions.
Tweet on the Harris steps
The next Preston Social has been announced and it’ll be a massive tweetup on the steps of the Harris.
In the shadow of the arts centre of the city you can sit on the steps and meet those who tweet in the city.
Registration is via Eventbrite and it starts from 5.30pm on Tuesday 27 August. More details.
