Lancashire Police say the theft took place around 3.30pm on Tuesday 13 August at Aldi on Corporation Street.

Three men are said to have distracted a member of staff whilst a fourth person, believed to be a woman, prised open two till draws and stole a large amount of cash.

PC Emma Jackson from Preston Police said: “An investigation is underway but I would appeal to anybody that recognises any of the men pictured in the CCTV images to come forward and contact Lancashire Police on 101.”

Police believe the theft may be linked with a similar incident at an Aldi store on Active Way in Burnley on the same day.

People with information can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
