RSPCA Inspectors are investigating whether cats and dogs in Preston have been poisoned.

The Preston and District RSPCA has posted on its Facebook group on Friday evening to let members know.

It states: “Please be aware that the inspectors have had a few reports today of poisoning of cats/dogs in the Savick area of Preston, not certain if this is deliberate or accidental at this stage but slug pellets seem to be the cause, sorry I have no more info just wanted to warn people to be vigilant.”

Further information is expected on Saturday.
