For a weekend in July the Maritime festival sees hundreds of vessels moor up in the Marina and the city celebrates its connection with the docks.

Tony Worrall was down at the Marina to see the first boats starting to coming through, Tony took plenty of photos at the 2012 Guild Riversway.

Riversway officially starts on Friday 19 July and runs through until the evening of Sunday 20 July.

Events include an exhibition on Preston’s maritime history and celebrate 30 years since the Manxman sailed into the Dock.

Other boats joining the festival will include the Royal Navy’s HMS Charger.

You can find full information on the Riversway Festival website.
