A man will appear in court in connection with artwork stolen from the Harris Museum & Art Gallery.

The illustration of a pitbull, called Marley, was taken from the Gallery on Wednesday 12 June.

Lancashire Police say a 40-year-old man has been summonsed to appear in court.

CCTV images were released and security stepped up at the gallery following the theft.

Museum bosses now have the artwork back in their hands after police recovered it.
