Local pubs blogger Steve Halliwell takes up residence in the Avenham Park pavillion during July, August and September.

The talks begin on Wednesday 10 July with Invincibles to INN-vincibles as Halliwell takes you through how former PNE footballers ended up running pubs.

On Wednesday 21 July the topic will be some of Preston’s better known inns and taverns.

Moving into August and on Wednesday 7 it will be old pubs near the old Town Hall on the agenda.

Wednesday 21 August will be an attempt to explain how some of Preston’s inns and pubs got their names.

The final talk on Wednesday 4 September will be the growth of the city and how the pubs contributed to this.

All talks start from 7.30pm and cost £2 each.
