Police hunting three men for “totally unprovoked” attack on teenage girl in Penwortham

Police are hunting a group of three men who attacked a teenage girl in Penwortham.

The 17-year-old girl was hit over the back of the head and then kicked in the side of her body.

The incident took place at 11pm on 28 April on Hollinhurst Avenue and has been described by police as “totally unprovoked”.

PC Gemma Lashley said, “The victim has been left considerably shaken by what happened and it would appear that this was a completely unprovoked attack. I would urge anyone with any information at all that might help, or who may have been in the area at the time to come forward and contact us.”

Lancashire Police say the attack was “totally unprovoked” and have released details about the three men and the car they were in.

The vehicle was described as dark coloured and was a three door car.

One of the men was wearing a grey hooded top and a dark coloured beanie hat with dark hair underneath and the second man was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up.
