A brand new festival will take place in Penwortham this Spring.
Penwortham Live is modelled on the successful Leyland Live event and will see venues, shops and cafes across the area taking part.
Rebecca Heap from South Ribble Borough Council said the festival aimed to “celebrate the talents and creativity in our community.”
Events at the festival will include live music, plays, art classes and children’s activities.
Leyland Live was held in July 2012 and saw hundreds turn out for events across the town.
Ms Heap said organisers expected Penwortham Live to have more family focused and daytime events.
Wristbands for the festival will cost £5 and are on sale at venues across Penwortham.
Venues already signed up include The Fleece Inn, Slice of Sicily and The Cow Shed.
The festival will take place on Friday 12 April and Saturday 13 April with events throughout the day and evening.
More details will be announced on Facebook nearer the event.
