Preston Police Detectives have sent out an appeal for information following a betting shop raid last night.
Two armed men went into Betfred on Watling Street Road in Preston at around 8:10pm on 13 March and demanded money.
They have been handed a small quantity of cash and have then run from the shop in an unknown direction.
Detective Sergeant Martin Pearson said; “Fortunately the two members of staff in the shop at the time were not injured but understandably have been left extremely shaken by what can only be described as a terrifying ordeal.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen these men or anyone acting suspiciously to contact police.”
The only description officers have at this stage is that the men were wearing dark clothing with their faces covered with what were thought to be scarves and one was noticeably taller than the other.
Anyone with any information should call Lancashire Police on 101.
People with information can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
