Pointed out to me, a BBC Radio 4 show was going out live at the same time as tonight’s Preston Council Cabinet meeting making their final decision on the fate of Preston Bus Station. It was called I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue. Make of that what you will.

The comedy panel show was being recorded at and broadcast from Preston’s Charter Theatre, a few hundred yards from the Council Chambers and the doomed Bus Station itself.

The theatre is physically linked to the Bus Station and multi-story Car Park which currently provides over 300 covered parking spaces. When the Bus Station is demolished what impact will the lack of nearby parking have on the theatre and the Guild Hall complex as a whole.

It’s the second week the show has been in Preston. The latest episode featured regulars Barry Cryer, Graeme Garden and Tim Brooke-Taylor. They were joined on the panel by Victoria Wood, with Jack Dee in the chair.
