Preston’s Freddie Flintoff in ‘From Lords to the ring’ on Sky1

Preston cricket legend Freddie Flintoff stars in ‘From Lords to the ring’ on Sky1 at 9pm tonight (22 November).

The cameras follow the fortunes of former England cricketer Freddie Flintoff in a new 3-part Sky 1 HD series as he finds himself against the ropes as he opts for an career change and enters the world of professional boxing.

Freddie will face the unbeaten American heavyweight Richard Dawson in his debut boxing bout at the Manchester Arena on 30 November. Joining an exciting bill of local fighters – including Denton Vassell and Matthew Hall. This promises to be an explosive night of live boxing.

Tickets for the fight on Friday 30 Novemberat the Manchester Arena are only £25.00.

As Freddie steps into the iconic ring at the Manchester Arena, just a short journey away from where he made his cricketing name at Old Trafford, he joins an elite roll call of the biggest names in world boxing who have fought there before him, including David Haye, Mike Tyson, Joe Calzaghe and local champions Amir Khan and Ricky Hatton.
