Preston Guild Mayor, Carl Crompton presented winners of Bernie Blackburn’s Preston Now and Then prize draw with their chosen pictures.
From an exhibition by Preston photographer Bernie Blackburn the Preston Now and Then photographic collection showed how areas of Preston have changed over the decades.
Partly sponsored by Blog Preston, the exhibition was on display at St Georges Shopping Centre and the Avenham Park Pavilion in Preston.
Bernie’s work shows archive photos cut together with photos of the same spot in the modern day to give an idea of how much the city has, or hasn’t in some cases, changed.
Bernie offered two of his stunning images to be given away in a prize draw. To win one of the images all you had to do was leave a comment. Joseph Hall and Amy Ankers are the two very lucky winners who did just that and now receive a copy of one of Bernie’s pictures
Carl Crompton, the Preston Guild Mayor drew their comment forms from a pot of more than 450 submitted at Bernie Blackburns’ picture exhibition.
Although looking cool in the hat Mr Blackburn is much used to being the other side of the camera.
