For one reason or another it’s been a bit of a busy week and I wasn’t sure where this week’s Preston in the Picture shot was going to come from. In the end an opportunity presented itself last Sunday when I was in Avenham/Miller Park to take some family portraits.

While I waited for the family to arrive I was scouting out a few potential locations and took this picture of the Autumn colours on what was a bright but showery morning. You can see the dampness on the ground in the soggy carpet of fallen leaves. The tree with the bright orange colour was used as the background for a number of the portrait shot with the family backlit by the low sunshine as it periodically broke through.
