Have a dip in the new Pond Restaurant Deli and Tapas bar .
A while ago the previous Pond was ironically overcome by a flood. It took a long time, and we are told, some rather large mops to get the restaurant back afloat.
A new kitchen, new floors, new tables and a new butchers block, and we are promised new and ingenious things to eat.
Where else can you try chili chocolate tea, Peruvian brandy (and stew) or pisco mojito. Chef Andrea Mellon has been working hard on dishes to add to her eclectic menu.
From the Duk/Pond website: “Our menu is brought to you with attention to detail second to none… we use local suppliers, producers, markets & where possible & of course the exotic world of spices and weird stuff…
Our menu is unique to us and carefully created by Andrea and the team to bring you the best in Tapas style dining…from Vegan wedding breakfasts…networking canapés.. parties and deli produce we do have something for all tastes and dietary needs… as our dishes are carefully prepared fresh and do not knowingly contain any artificial additives and colourings we can assist with food allergies and intolerance’s with ease…
Our quirky style is now synonymous with quality and our customers return again and again…
Our locations have been loving restored by hand by Andrea, Mick and family… with a colourful attention to a Peruvian/Arabic influence…
Pond is at the former Alpenhof Austrian restaurant on Cross St in Preston.
