Fulwood drivers warned to secure their cars after spate of break-ins

A spate of car break-ins in the Fulwood area of Preston has caused police to up their presence.

Three cars have been targeted in eight days and police are ensuring their cars are locked.

Sergeant Michelle Doughty of Preston Police said; “Although the number of burglaries in Preston remains low, we would like to take this opportunity to remind people of some simple crime prevention advice on how to take extra precautions to protect their property.”

The first incident on Saturday 6 October saw a Kia Sorrento stolen from Boys Lane, followed by a Volkswagen Golf from Greyfriars Crescent on Wednesday 10 October. An Audi A3 was stolen from Hazelemere Road on Sunday 14 October.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lancashire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
