Police release CCTV after man assaulted in Ashton hotel

The man wanted by police over the assault in Lane Ends Hotel, Ashton

This is the man police believe punched a man repeatedly in the head at a Preston hotel before running off.

The CCTV images show the man near the Lane Ends Hotel on Blackpool Road, Ashton, at 12.20am on Monday 28 May.

A man was approached by the attacker who started shouting at him for no reason. The victim ignored the man, pictured, who then punched him in the head causing the victim to fall to the flood and smash his head on the corner of a pool table as he fell.

The attacker is described as being 6′, slim, clean-shaven and with short dark hair.

Anyone who recognises the suspect or who has any information on the incident should contact police by calling 101 or alternatively, information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
