He stole a TV, DVD player and an X-Box. After stashing them away he returned to the house for more items, but was nicked by local police.

Constable Rachel Wilson of Preston CID said: “This man was caught red handed trying to take what was not his from a family home. To have tried this not once, but twice, was particularly unacceptable. Bailey will now serve his sentence behind bars.”

The good were recovered by police. Bailey pleaded guilty to burglary at Preston Crown Court.
