Everybody likes a good sunset, right? Well I’m hoping that’s the case because this week’s photograph of Preston was taken from a spot that is popular with photographers and anglers alike – the Bull Nose at Preston Docks. From a fisherman’s point of view it is a good spot to fish the River Ribble with easy parking and it’s close to local amenities. They say it’s good Flounder fishing, some times Bass and small Whiting. Me I just flounder around taking pictures!
AdvertisementFor photographers, it’s the view and the sunsets that brings us back time and time again. You quite often find that the best time to catch the colour in the sky is just after the sun has gone down as was the case in this week’s photograph. With fairly low light levels a tripod was needed to provide some stability but I could still have captured a sharp picture by resting the camera on the railings or increasing the ISO setting on the camera.
