Arts organisation Project Korova is celebrating its birthday this month with a series of three special events.
AdvertisementComedy Mike, a new professional comedy night, will be launched on Sunday 30 October at the Adelphi. This will be accompanied by the first birthday of Organised Mike, an evening of music, comedy, poetry, and magic, and finally a 10 minute playwriting competition called PresTen.
Comedy Mike will be launched on Sunday 30 October at the Adelphi, and run on the last Sunday of the month with Preston born comedian and regular Beat the Frog host Phil Ellis headlining the first night.
Support acts include musical comedian Matt Tiller, Jonny Addy, Danny Sutcliffe and the night’s resident MC Phil Buckley.
Organised Mike, Korova’s night of music, comedy, poetry, and magic will celebrate its first birthday on 1 October, and will feature musical comedians Slap & Giggle, Robert Alexander, Preston based theatre company Wooden Spoons and musician Adam Jones.
The final piece in Project Korova’s birthday celebration, is a new 10 minute playwriting competition at the Adelphi on Saturday 15 October, where four Preston based playwrights; Jack Coverdale, Sharon Lancaster, Mike Cracknell and Vikki Dewhurst, will showcase their 10 minute pieces and put them to an audience vote.
