Preston North End host Swansea tomorrow hoping to move off the bottom of the table.
AdvertisementIf PNE are to do that they will need to beat a team in the top half of the table for the first time this season.
Although North End have won their last two games they will have their work cut out tomorrow. The high flying Swans are currently third in the table and have a good chance of promotion.
PNE haven’t kept a clean sheet at home in 2011, they can ill afford to throw away goals against the team with the third best defence in the Championship.
When the two sides met at the Liberty Stadium in August Swansea won 4-0 so PNE know they will have their hands full.
North End go into the game on a good run of form having beaten Scunthorpe and Coventry at the end of last month. Even though they are still bottom of the league some PNE fans are beginning to believe they can pull off the great escape.
Swansea, on the other hand, have won just one of the last four and the Lilywhites will be looking to extend Swansea’s poor form.
PNE have signed Bongani Khumalo on loan, the centre back signed from Tottenham may replace captain Sean St Ledger who is doubtful for tomorrow having picked up an injury on international duty.
Swansea have signed Tamas Priskin on loan from Ipswich and he is also in line to make his debut.
