There’s four parts showing how twitter users in Preston came together and came up with ideas for how the web and social media could be used for the Preston Guild in 2012.

The event started with an introduction by Ed Walker, the organiser of Preston Tweetup and then everyone broke off into groups and came up with their ideas before one person in each group presented back. The people there were generally very tech savvy Preston people, but it was also attended by a couple of local councillors.

The results of the ideas from the night were fed into a wiki and passed on to Preston City Council.

Thanks to Chris Skoyles for editing and Ruth Heritage for filming, and for everyone who came along and took part.

The event was hosted by Blog Preston in association with They Eat Culture at the New Continental and sponsored by Stage 9 Marketing.
